Lakewood Office - (South Office and Headquarters)

 

Faith Brown (her/she)
Executive Director

Faith joined CFI as their Executive Director in November, 2024 and brings with her abundant experience in non-profit organizing and management. She oversees all operations and implementations of visions and strategies for the growth and success of CFI. Faith is a committed communitarian who volunteers her capacities and passions for aligning policy, budget and outcomes for justice and equity with the Tacoma Public School Board, the Washington State Historical Society, Tacoma Creates for the City of Tacoma, the Filipino American National Historical Society, Trinity Neighborhood Medical Clinic, and the Imagine Justice Project. She is a staunch ally for advancing full justice and equity for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities. Faith raises her growing family in the South Sound with her husband, and is a proud peer in the IL Movement.

 

Todd Holloway (he/his)
Senior Independent Living Advocate (Lakewood)

Todd Holloway is a Senior IL Advocate for the Center for Independence in Lakewood. He works at the local, state, federal, and international levels on Inclusive Emergency Management. Prior to his 10 plus years at CFI, he worked in hospitals doing biomedical photography and videography. He was the media specialist in the education department at Good Samaritan Hospital, where he met the staff and the first director of CFI which was then located on the campus of Good Samaritan. He has never been more comfortable in any position than the one he is in now with CFI.

 

El Sablan (she/her)
Pre-Employment Transition Services Lead (Lakewood)

El is a Youth Transition Specialist in our Lakewood office and works primarily with youth to provide Pre-Employment Transition Services in the schools. She has experience working as a job coach/employment specialist for various employment agencies that serve people with disabilities. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Criminal Justice and loves helping youth reach their full potential.

 

Tony Hester (he/him)
Independent Living Advocate (Lakewood)

Tony is an IL Advocate and works with participants to break down barriers to independent living. He is also a systemic advocate and serves on several committees to advocate for accessibility in our communities whether it’s accessible transportation, housing, public information, etc. Tony has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and has over a decade of experience advocating for the disability community.

 

Janice Freeman (she/her) Independent Living Coordinator (Lakewood)

Janice has an extensive background working with people to access housing and emergency shelters. She works with participants primarily in our Pathways to Community Living program helping them transition into stable housing. Janice is an advocate when it comes to fair housing rights and helps participants navigate all the complexities that come with applying for community resources and benefits. She also works with referrals from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and provides independent living skills training.

 

Alea Camacho (she/her) Veteran Directed Care Specialist (Lakewood)

Alea works primarily with our veteran participants, whether they are part of the VDC program or Neuro-Rehab program. She was raised in a military family and grew up in Guam. After moving to Washington for college she grew a passion for helping people. She is also a spouse of a veteran and enjoys getting to know people from all walks of life. Alea also has experience working in the public schools and enjoys supporting youth with disabilities.

 

Marysville Office - (North Office)

 

Chris Notaras (she/her)
Lead Independent Living Coordinator (Marysville)

Christia Notaras comes from an extensive background working with people with disabilities as an Employment Specialist and School to Work Liaison at a non-profit organization called Cascade Connections. She also has worked in the Bellingham School District as an Instructional Assistant and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Assessment. Working at Cascade Connections, she was also an IL provider for DVR.

 

Matt Hertzog (he/his)
PCL/CCG Program Manager, BASW (Marysville)

Matt is a Program Manager in the Marysville office. He is a Marine veteran who discovered his true calling in social work through moments of connection and advocacy while serving others in crisis. His work is rooted in the belief that every person deserves access to the tools and support necessary to live independently and with dignity. Passionate about housing stability, public benefit navigation, and neurodiversity-informed support, Matt advocates for inclusive systems that honor self-determination and equity. He is especially committed to uplifting veterans, people with disabilities, and underserved communities through person-centered, trauma-informed practice.

 

Owen Taylor (he/his)  
Graphic Design Lead / Independent Living Coordinator (Marysville)

Owen Taylor serves as a Lead Graphic Designer for CFI and an IL Coordinator at the Marysville Office, where he is committed to supporting the disability community with humility and respect. With a rich professional background, Owen has garnered extensive experience in disability advocacy, volunteering for over ten years with the Washington State Youth Leadership Forum, under the oversight of the Governor’s Committee on Disability Issues and Employment. Throughout his education, he actively engaged in student disability advocacy at various institutions, including Edmonds College, the University of Washington, and Oregon State University. In addition to his advocacy work, Owen enjoys applying his creative talents at CFI. He holds three degrees in the arts: an Associate degree in Visual Arts from Edmonds College, a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary visual arts from the University of Washington, where he also completed a minor in Disability Studies, and another bachelor's degree in graphic design from Oregon State University. Owen grew up in Western Washington and lives in the North Sound with his wife and cat.  

 

Kimberlee Danielson (she/her)
Independent Living Coordinator (Marysville)

Kimberlee is an Independent Living Coordinator with over ten years of experience working with people with disabilities. She has an Associate degree in Social and Human Services, from Edmonds College and a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Social Psychology, Community Resources and Business Leadership from The Evergreen State College. Previously, Kimberlee worked as an Employment Support Specialist assisting individuals with their career goals and is passionate about helping individuals achieve their personal and professional goals. Kimberlee works with the Veterans Directed Care program, along with referrals from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.  Kimberlee also enjoys assisting community members with their goals and callers with Information and Referral questions.  Kimberlee lives in Snohomish County on her micro homestead.

 

Jesse Gilpatrick (he/him)
Peer Support Specialist (Marysville)

Jesse is our Peer Support Specialist in the Marysville office and facilitates our Out and About peer support group. He also provides information and referral to our callers. Jesse brings experience with facilitating small groups and has over 3 years' experience performing administrative tasks, and providing technical support regarding electronic equipment. He also has valuable lived experience pertaining to the community we serve.

 

Erin Kinucan (she/her)
Youth Transition Program Coordinator (Marysville)

Erin is the Youth Transition Program Coordinator at the Marysville office, bringing extensive experience and a passion for supporting youth with disabilities. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master's degree in Educational Instructional Design. With over eleven years of teaching experience and a strong volunteer background with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Special Olympics, Erin is dedicated to helping youth achieve greater independence, become strong self-advocates, and cultivate the skills they need to succeed in both personal and professional settings.
